The Federal Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Prime Minister’s Ramzan Relief Package, providing a one-time cash grant of Rs. 13,000 to eligible, low-income households. This initiative is designed to assist families in managing the rising costs of essential food items during this blessed period.
The program is currently in its active implementation phase. With the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) having approved the necessary funding in late February 2026, the disbursement process has commenced across the country.
Distribution Status and Timeline
The government is utilizing a phased distribution model to ensure that funds are delivered securely and to prevent overcrowding at payment centers.
- Current Status: The program is currently active. Payments are being released in scheduled batches.
- Timeline: Disbursements began in early March 2026, with the government aiming to complete the primary phase of distribution before the onset of the first Ashra of Ramzan.
- Notification System: You do not need to check your status manually every day. Once your payment is released in a specific batch, you will receive an official notification via SMS.

Important Security Guidelines for Applicants
To ensure you receive your assistance safely, please adhere to the following:
- Beware of Scams: The government never charges a fee for registration or distribution. If anyone demands money for “processing,” report them to the BISP helpline at 0800-26477.
- Protect Your Information: Never share your personal OTP, PIN, or bank details with anyone claiming to be a government representative over the phone.
- Wait for Official Confirmation: Do not visit banks or payment centers until you have received the official SMS notification confirming that your payment has been released.
- Biometric Verification: Payment is only released after a successful biometric thumbprint verification at an authorized bank branch (such as HBL or Bank Alfalah) or a government-designated campsite. Always carry your original, valid CNIC.
If your status shows as “Ineligible” or “Record Not Found,” you may visit your local BISP Tehsil office to update your household data (Dynamic Survey), which is the only way to re-evaluate your eligibility for current or future relief programs.
